4D Gaming

This concept adds a hole new dimension 2 the feild of real life experience it can dasel u up 2 down and thrill u. its a clear idea 2 project the screen in front of the user rather than fixing in front of him.for example when u are playing a shooter game the
Some folks naturally get giddy even when playing an FPS title, and we aren’t even talking about watching a stereoscopic 3D movie yet. Well, if you want to take things another step further, how about this unique hack that sees a Wiimote Zapper being attached to a handheld ShowWX laser projector as well as gyrometer, displaying your screen wherever the Zapper points to? Dubbed the “glasses-free virtual reality first-person shooter,”

it enables one to look around and navigate through the game-world simply by angling the Zapper and using its joystick. Not something recommended save for those who live in an empty square room with white walls and having all of its blinds drawn down. Check out a video of it in action in the extended post.

DNA Inside .... Wht the ____ ??

Today, most semiconductor chips are crafted from silicon, a relatively expensive material we commonly call "sand." But researchers at Duke University are designing logic chips from self-assembling DNA. The team hopes the process will provide a cheap, easy method of making chips, eventually eliminating the need for silicon semiconductor chips altogether.

To create the DNA chips, engineer Chris Dwyer and his team made and mixed snippets of DNA and other molecules that assembled themselves into billions of tiny, waffle-like structures. Using light rather than electricity, Dwyer turned the structures into logic circuits. Using that process, the team can create a virtually endless supply of logic circuits. The light-sensitive DNA switches can move signals through a device at much higher speeds than computers and electrical circuits that run on electricity. Plus, DNA is cheap; silicon is expensive. Dwyer says that a single grad student using DNA to make self-assembling circuits could produce more logic circuits in one day than the global silicon chip industry can create in a month. We think Dwyer can expect a visit from Intel.

"When light is shined on the chromophores, they absorb it, exciting the electrons," Dwyer said. "The energy released passes to a different type of chromophore nearby that absorbs the energy and then emits light of a different wavelength. That difference means this output light can be easily differentiated from the input light, using a detector.

Welcome to our bio-computing future!
